How do I know which water filter will meet my needs? ;

Water filters

Olympus Water Filters are manufactured entirely in Greece by our company, Center Plus S.A. Our company manufactures and sells more than 15 different models that have the ability to cover the problem in every area.

To help you choose the right model, we need to know your consumption. That is, how many people will use the filter and some information about the quality of your water.

Water filter

If your mains water is potable, you can choose any of the Olympus single antimicrobial water filters, namely:

or and

Chemical analysis of water - When should it be done?;

If the water in your network is not suitable for drinking, then in this case, our company's suggestion is, before purchasing any filter, to contact your provider. Where you pay your water bill, and request a chemical and microbiological analysis of your mains water.

If your water comes from a private borehole or well, you should contact a chemical laboratory. There you will do a chemical and microbiological analysis on the water, always following the instructions of the chemist to get the right sample to be tested.

Seeing these analyses we will be able to recommend the model that will meet your network need on 100% .

Water with a lot of salts?;

If the problem in your network is unnecessary salts (calcium & magnesium), you could choose the Olympus Double Anti-Microbial Salt Water Filter. Where one of its bulb holds chlorine, chemical pesticides etc. and the other bulb retains a percentage of salts.

But you should pay attention to the following:

If your water does not have an issue with unnecessary salts, (i.e. you only notice the presence of salts when boiling or cooling which is perfectly normal) and you choose a double salt filter, you may alter the taste and quality of the water.

If the problem in your network is unnecessary nitrates , you could choose the Olympus Dual Antimicrobial Nitrate Water Filter that has one of its bags holding chlorine, chemical pesticides, etc. and the other bulb retains a percentage of nitrates. If your municipality classifies your water as non-potable due to the presence of high nitrate levels, i.e. there are more than 50 degrees of nitrate in the water, which is the legal limit, then the Olympus Dual Nitrate Water Filter will not be sufficient and you will need to choose the reverse osmosis water filter

Fresh or brackish water

Also, if the water in your network is fresh- brackish or is particularly hard, i.e. has a lot of salts, then only the reverse osmosis water filter can cover you. This model is a self-contained water filtering and refining unit, which treats the water almost drop by drop. It stores the clean water in its own tank that comes with the system, and disposes of the problem water down the home's drainage system. This filter is for domestic use, has 4 stages of water purification (4 filters) and in case the water needs salt enrichment after filtering, a 5th filter can be installed. It is placed under the kitchen counter, it comes out with its own tap on the sink and the clean water is stored in its own tank which is at the same time pressurized.

Water from desalination

Furthermore, there are some cases where the water comes from a desalination process. This means that the water is first treated by the provider itself, either because it is fresh - brackish or because it is very salty. In this case, if the municipality gives the desalination water as drinking water, then you can choose the Olympus Single Antimicrobial Water Filter that retains chlorine, chemicals, pesticides, soil, silt, etc.

Finally, if the water in your mains water system has microbes, then no filter can be sufficient. All companies' water filters are aimed at water that is tested and chlorinated by the municipal authorities. In case of microbes, you should consult a chemist to give you information on the correct chlorination process to follow and then one of the Olympus Antimicrobial Water Filters will be able to provide you with Healthy, Crystal Clear, and Optimal water.
City waters are considered safe, except in very few cases of contamination from network failures or hypochlorination.
