- Check at least once a year the integrity of the pouch and the expiration date of the sterile materials. All Leina-Werke materials have a shelf life of 5 years if they remain sealed.
- All the data is in self-contained sealed packages. Do not open preemptively.
- After each use, replace worn out material immediately so that the pharmacy is full next time.
First actions in an emergency
- Secure the space. Park in a safe place, turn on your hazard lights, wear a reflective vest, and place a warning triangle at a sufficient distance.
- Call 112 immediately. (European Emergency Number) before any other action if there is a seriously injured person or multiple victims.
- Check sensations and breathing of the victim. If they are not breathing, start CPR if you are trained and inform the 112 operator to guide you.
- Wear gloves. from the pharmacy before touching wounds or coming into contact with body fluids.
- Stop severe bleeding with a pressure bandage. Apply direct pressure to the wound.
- Cover the sufferer with the isothermal blanket to prevent hypothermia or thermal shock until the ER arrives.
- Do not move a patient with suspected spinal injury, unless there is an immediate danger to their life (fire, risk of explosion).
User guide by material
| Material | When and how is it used? |
|---|---|
| Disposable gloves | They are worn always first, before any wound handling or contact with blood and body fluids. Protection for the patient and the rescuer. |
| Adhesive plasters (band-aids) | For minor scrapes, scrapes and superficial cuts on fingers and extremities. Clean the wound first. |
| Sterile gauze/compresses | For cleaning and covering wounds before applying a dressing. Do not touch the surface that comes into contact with the wound. |
| Pressure bandage (K, M, G) | In active bleeding. Place the dressing directly over the wound and wrap firmly around the limb, but without cutting off circulation. |
| Sterile wound/burn dressing (60×80 cm) | For covering major burns or extensive wounds. Do not apply creams, oils, or ice to a burn. Cover lightly to protect against contamination. |
| Elastic bandages (FB6 / FB8) | For support in sprains and dislocations, or as a supportive bandage after applying gauze or a bandage. |
| Triangular bandage | As a sling for a fracture or injury to the hand. Also used as a makeshift bandage on a large surface. |
| Isothermal rescue blanket | To prevent hypothermia or hyperthermia. In cold environments, wrap with the metal side facing the victim's body. In sun exposure, place the silver side outwards to reflect sunlight. |
| First aid scissors | For cutting clothing, seat belts or bandages. Blunted edges do not injure the patient's skin. |
| Medical masks | When there is suspicion of infection, smoke, dust after an accident, or to avoid transmission from the rescuer to the patient. |
| Wet cleaning wipes | For gentle cleansing of the skin around the wound. Do not apply directly to an open wound. |
| White plaster (roll) | For securing gauze or bandage. Do not tighten so much as to obstruct blood circulation. |

Usage limits
The pharmacy was designed for immediate treatment of a road injury until professional help arrives. It does not replace care from a healthcare professional. In case of serious trauma, loss of consciousness, deep cut, heart attack or suspected internal bleeding, call 112 immediately and do not attempt operations that exceed your knowledge.
It is recommended to attend basic First Aid training from a certified organization (Hellenic Red Cross, EKAB, private training center). Training makes the difference in a real emergency.
