Description
Instructions for Use of Mechanical Softeners
Maximum flow rate: 900 l / h
Minimum / Maximum water supply pressure: 1 ÷ 8 bar
Min/Max Temperature: 4 ° C ÷ 25 ° C
POSITION 1: Is the operating position
POSITION 2: Interrupts the water to pour the salt into the bucket
POSITION 3: Place to regenerate the resin after the salt has been added and left in the bucket for 30-40 minutes
POSITION 4: Reverse salt wash for 1 minute
Warning: use only coarse sodium chloride NaCl (table salt) for regeneration. The use of any other chemicals or products is strictly prohibited.
The resin in the water softener is essential for its proper operation. Under no circumstances should you remove it.
ATTENTION: during the regeneration of the resin, the device connected to the softener is fed with water, but not soft.
To ensure the effectiveness of the softener at all times, we recommend that you regenerate at regular intervals, depending on consumption.
To disconnect the water softener, close the inlet water tap, press the ring and at the same time remove the hose from the quick coupling. Insert the drain hose directly into the drain.
When the resin is saturated with salts, follow the following procedure to reverse wash and regenerate the resin.
Α) Resin rinsing -> POSITION 4
Close the water inlet tap and turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 4 for backwash. Open the water inlet tap and let the water run for 2-3 minutes until it is clear. Turn the knob to position 1.
Β) Resin regeneration (Rotate the knob sequentially POSITION 1 -> POSITION 2 -> POSITION 3 -> POSITION 4 -> POSITION 1)
POSITION 2
Turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 2. Loosen the spool on the cap and wait for the water pressure to decrease.
Remove the cover (lid) and add the necessary amount of salt, depending on the model of the softener.
Replace the cover and firmly tighten the rotor.
ATTENTION: Remove all salt residue from the sealing ring and the top of the softener.
POSITION 3
Turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 3.
Allow the salt water to come out of the drainage pipe until it becomes soft (about 40 minutes).
POSITION 4
Turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 4 (reverse wash) and wait for about 30 seconds (the softener does not supply any water during the reverse wash).
POSITION 1
Turn the knob counterclockwise to position 1, operating mode.
Γ) Mixing valve (adjustment of the final water hardness)
When the regeneration valve knob is in position 1 (operating mode), it is possible to adjust the final hardness of the water. Using a small straight screwdriver and through the hole on the left side of the regeneration valve (MIXER indicator), turn the screw of the mixing valve up to one turn to the left. In this way you will increase the final hardness of the water.
