INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ATTENTION: This water filter as well as all Olympus water filters are intended to be connected to water supply systems which are controlled by the municipal authorities and provide water suitable for human consumption.
Before installation and use, please read these instructions carefully.
Install the system correctly according to the instructions and keep this manual so that you can use it if you need it in the future.
REVERSE OSMOSIS
REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM (R/O) INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1.Specificity of the product
The R/OLYMPUS+ device passes the water through 4 purification stages and each of the 4 filters plays its own effective role in order to retain harmful substances, microorganisms suspended in the water, colloids, organic materials, heavy metals, sludge sediments with particles, nitrates, etc.
Also the third stage, the reverse osmosis membrane is the basic filter that converts hard water into soft water, retaining the Calcium - Magnesium salts, as well as salt from fresh or brackish water so that an unsuitable water is converted into normal drinking water.
2.Brief instructions for the water filtration unit and operation.
Stage 1: Polypropylene bottle (filter).
The polypropylene bladder retains sediment, colloids, rust and sludge sediments present in the water.
Stage 2: Piston with reinforced solid activated carbon which retains: chlorine, pesticides, asbestos, heavy metals, chemical elements, while improving the taste and smell of water.
Stage 3: Reverse Osmosis Filter.
The principle of the reverse osmosis cartridge is to remove microscopic pollutants, calcium - magnesium salts, nitrates, salt from fresh - brackish water, colloids, heavy metals, stable solvents, microbes and other harmful elements of water.
Stage 4: Activated carbon filter.
It is the last filter that refreshes the water stored in the tank at the moment we open the tap to use the stored water.
3.WATER TREATMENT LAYOUT - COMPONENTS - METHOD OF CONNECTION
1.Rakor connection to the water network.
2.Switch
3. Solids pre-filter
4. Solid Activated Carbon Filter
5.Dispenser and automatic water flow switch.
6. Membrane chamber/O
7.Drainage pipe for unsuitable water
8. Tank switch
9. Water tank with pressurized water tank
10.Activated carbon filter
11. Tap
12. Plastic connection pipe
13. Blue membrane flush switch
HOW TO CONNECT THE TUBES TO THE DEVICE:
A)Water connection point from the main supply (red plug)
B)Connection point to the tank of the device (yellow plug)
C)Connection point to the tap (blue plug)
- Rear plug: connection point to the drainage pipe of the
sink, to eliminate unfit water (black plug)

4.Important technical parameters
Clean water output: 150-180L/per 24 hours (50GPD) (250 C) and depending on the water pressure, the tank fills in about 3 to 5 hours.
Suitable water source pressure: 3 - 7 BAR
Permissible ambient temperature: 5-400C
5.Positioning
The RO system should be installed according to the conditions of your kitchen (see figure 1).
The best place to place the appliance is in the cupboard under the kitchen counter (figure 1). In special cases it can also be placed above the kitchen counter or even on the wall.
For the correct connection of the appliance to the water supply see the diagram on page 3. Also, for the correct connection of the white plastic hose to the filter sockets and the tap, see drawing 4 on page 4.
METHOD OF CONNECTING THE TUBE TO THE FILTER AND CANULA CONNECTIONS
To remove the coloured caps (blue, yellow, red and black): remove the blue fuse first. Then hold the white plastic ring in which the blue fuse was mounted and pull the plug out. To connect the tube, simply push it into the union socket where the blue fuse is, then push the blue fuse back into place. To disconnect the plastic tube, turn off the water supply switch, and follow the same procedure as when you removed the coloured plugs.

Positioning of the barrel
The most correct position of the spout is to place it on the kitchen sink.
Placement of Reverse Osmosis membrane: After disconnecting the tube from the chamber cover, unscrew the plastic cover of the reverse osmosis chamber. Coat the front of the reverse osmosis membrane with pharmaceutical grade petroleum jelly where the two rubber O-rings are located. Then place the ampoule in the reverse osmosis chamber and, after pressing it firmly to seat it firmly in the nest at the bottom of the chamber, screw the cover firmly into the reverse osmosis chamber. In the case of changing the R/O cartridge, after disconnecting the tube, unscrew the cover of the chamber and with a tool (pliers or pliers) pull out firmly the rear plastic part of the cartridge to remove it. Then insert the new ampoule, having previously smeared the front of the ampoule with medicinal petroleum jelly.
6. Use - Filter rinsing
When using the Reverse Osmosis (R/O) water device for the first time or when changing the activated carbon filters or membrane, empty the water tank once or twice, as the first water is intended for rinsing the filters and not for use. After this process of cleaning the filters, the water produced by the device and stored in the tank is suitable for any use. When the tank is full, the system will stop working automatically.
NOTE: Every 3-4 months or earlier if necessary, you can rinse the membrane (6) for 5-10 minutes by turning on the blue switch (13) located on the back of the appliance at the drainage pipe.
VERY IMPORTANT:
The reverse osmosis separates the problem water from the clean water and a quantity of about 80-85% sends it to the sewer as unsuitable, and the clean water is stored in the water tank (9), which depending on the pressure of the network fills up with clean water within 3 to 5 hours and the system stops working until we use some water, when it will automatically start working to refill the tank.
7.Maintenance
Replace the cartridges regularly, according to the instructions, so that you always have the best quality water.
If the cartridges are changed regularly, users of the Reverse Osmosis device can enjoy the highest quality of clean water. The following guidelines indicate the filter change periods and should be followed:
1st stage filter (pre - sediment filter) from 3 to 6 months.
2nd stage filter (Compact Activated Carbon) from 9 to 12 months.
Stage 3 filter (Reverse Osmosis membrane) from 12 to 18 months.
4th stage filter (activated carbon) from 9 to 12 months.
The replacement period for each cartridge depends on the degree of contamination of the water in each area by pollutants, salts, nitrates, etc., as well as the amount of clean water consumed. Thus, if you follow the recommended filter replacement times mentioned above, the R/O system can guarantee good water quality and purity.
REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM (R/O) INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
8. ATTENTION
1. Due to the different network pressures from one installation to another, the manufacturer advises to install a pressure reducer and a pressure relief valve (present in the plumbing) before the water filter so that in case of an increase in network pressure or an instantaneous hydraulic shock phenomenon, the pipes or the filter device will not break and flood. When you are away from home for days, turn off the supply switch to the filter.
2. Please do not disassemble the machine parts in case of leakage or damage of the machine, because it may be flooded with water.
3. The tank at the bottom has an air valve and you should never remove or increase the air pressure in the tank, because the pressurizer will not work.
4. If the system is not used for a long period of time, you must turn off the switch of the appliance/where it is installed immediately after connecting it to the water supply of the house. The same when you are away from home for a few days.
5. If the R/O device is left out of operation for a long time, when it is used again you should follow the operating instructions as the first time.
6. Careful handling during transport and installation is essential.
